Bands of colour stack across the canvas like a remembered horizon: soft yellow, deep violet, a burning red, then a wide sweep of magenta pink that gives way to turquoise, cobalt blue and scattered confetti-like dots of orange and lime. Built up layer over layer, the surface keeps the trace of every brushstroke and every decision.
